Location/Remote: 100% remote; must be willing to work Eastern Time Zone business hours

Employment Type: 12-month W-2/1099 contract (eligible to extend for multiple years)

Compensation: up to $80/hour W-2 or $88/hour 1099

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MuleSoft Developer to join our integration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role requires strong technical skills in API development, data transformation, and connecting various systems to enhance business processes and data flow.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy robust and scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs using RAML or OpenAPI specifications.
• Implement data transformations using DataWeave to ensure seamless data flow between disparate systems.
• Utilize various MuleSoft connectors (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Database, JMS, to integrate applications.
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring strategies for MuleSoft applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Adhere to best practices for API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MuleSoft integrations and APIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience, with 3+ as a MuleSoft Developer
• Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.
• Strong experience with Mule ESB/Runtime (Mule 3.x and/or Mule 4.x).
• Expertise in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Proficiency in DataWeave for data transformation.
• Experience with various MuleSoft connectors.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills (not required):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect certification.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools.
