Qualitest is looking for an experienced Python Automation Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA . This role focuses on automating test processes for advanced robotic systems in a medical device environment . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and has hands-on experience with Python scripting, test automation, and regulated software testing .

This is fulltime hybrid position for Irvine, CA expected to come 2 days onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional test and development engineers to define testing strategies for robotic control software.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks, protocols, and harnesses.
• Create, execute, and document test cases; report and analyze results.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective test cases.
• Participate in design and requirement reviews to ensure testability.
• Drive test process improvements, automation efficiency, and best practices.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• ✅ Medical Device Testing Experience (regulated environments).
• ✅ Strong documentation skills — RV&S, specifications, change control, validation .
• ✅ Python scripting proficiency - hands-on test automation experience.
• ✅ Solid understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) .
• ✅ Experience designing and executing both manual and automated test protocols.
