Assistant Junior Planner - Full-Time Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Junior Planner to join a dynamic ecommerce team based in OC area. This role offers the chance to contribute to inventory and sales planning, supporting forecasting and buying processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The position is expected to be onsite, with potential flexibility on workdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with seasonal buying activities by collaborating closely with the Buyer/Planner.
• Analyze past sales data and current market trends to inform inventory decisions.
• Manage daily pre-sell operations to optimize stock availability.
• Develop and present seasonal performance reviews to guide future planning.
• Support monthly reporting and reconciliation of purchase receipts.
• Create and maintain purchase orders for both internal and external vendors.
• Keep tracking documents and SKU plans up-to-date alongside the planning team.
• Monitor product delivery timelines to ensure smooth launches and address any delays promptly.
• Help coordinate inventory distribution between global stock and ecommerce channels.

Forecasting & Reporting:

• Prepare weekly business performance reports and monthly returns analyses.
• Collaborate on in-season and post-season sales evaluations by category.
• Extract size-specific sales data to enhance ecommerce assortment strategies.
• Generate regular and ad hoc merchandise planning reports as required.
• Ensure monthly receipt targets align with online assortment updates.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills essential for data analysis tasks.
• Experience with platforms such as Shopify/Shopify Plus, Full Circle, and Google Analytics preferred.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and business analytics.
• Self-driven with a focus on results and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Adaptable to shifting deadlines and capable of creative problem-solving with great attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required. 1-2 yrs or internship experience within buying or planning corporate retail

Rate: $22-24/hr
