Job Description

The E-Commerce Manager & SEO Specialist is responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and optimization of the company’s online stores, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly experience that drives sales and organic traffic growth. This role combines hands-on management of e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify), content and website updates, and the implementation of best-in-class SEO strategies. The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of experience in e-commerce management and SEO, with a strong understanding of digital marketing, web analytics, and cross-functional team collaboration. This position is critical in aligning the online presence with broader marketing and business goals, optimizing the customer journey, and maximizing revenue and search visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and maintain homepages, landing pages, product pages, and blog content on the e-commerce Shopify platform, ensuring brand consistency and an optimized user experience.
  • Execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies, including conversion rate optimization (CRO), increasing average order value (AOV), and driving customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and external partners to execute content, promotional campaigns, and technical requirements for new and existing pages.
  • Implement and monitor on-page SEO best practices, including metadata, internal linking, keyword optimization, and content structure to improve search engine visibility and rankings.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits, resolve site performance issues, and assist with site migrations as needed.
  • Regularly audit and optimize existing website content for SEO and user experience improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze website analytics and performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in both content and SEO.
  • Stay current with e-commerce trends, platform updates (e.g., Shopify), and evolving SEO best practices to maintain competitiveness.
  • Oversee the rollout of new products, features, and promotional offers, ensuring they are accurately represented and optimized on the website.
  • Lead and coordinate cross functional teams including copywriters, designers, and developers-to deliver engaging, compliant, and on-brand e-commerce experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve content-related and technical issues, ensuring all published pages are mobile-responsive and accessible.
  • Develop and present regular reports on website performance, SEO progress, and KPIs to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in e-commerce management and SEO, preferably with Shopify or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and familiarity with Shopify Liquid or other CMS platforms is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills, with experience collaborating across teams and with external partners.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of e-commerce and SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
