I talked to the owner of this construction company earlier today, and he's looking for a good operating foreman with 5+ years experience who can run excavation jobs.
This is a family owned company with a strong reputation in the state that's been around 50+ years. Pays up to $55 an hour DOE - overtime is 1.5x.

Position Overview The Operating Foreman is responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This role involves leading a team of workers, managing resources effectively, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise daily construction operations and manage on-site personnel.
- Plan and schedule project activities to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on the job site.
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment as needed.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications.
- Solve problems that arise during construction activities promptly and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications accurately.
- Manage project budgets and report on financial status throughout the project.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential issues and mitigate them.
- Oversee labor management, ensuring efficient allocation of tasks to team members.
- Coordinate earthwork, sitework, excavation, and demolition activities.
- Ensure the proper installation of utilities, sidewalks, and pipe work.
- Manage paving operations and hazardous waste disposal as required.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of earthwork, sitework, excavation, and demolition processes.
- Familiarity with grading, paving, and utilities installation.
- Relevant certifications in construction safety and operations are a plus.
